Vignette Inspiration

Inspired by a recent trip to Europe, this inviting dining room captures the feel of a centuries old European country villa. The glazed dark blue walls add contrast to the muted tones of the painted furniture, rug, and art. A banquet table covered in silver cloth is placed under a 50” h x 46” round Italian wood chandelier with gilded drops. At one end of the room is a Swedish blue/bleached large cupboard surrounded by custom designed floor lamps with metal augers encased in tall glass columns.

On the opposite wall is a French carved taupe fireplace surround framed by a pair of square base painted wood columns and two 1880s cane back and distressed leather chairs. Daum glass , Hornsea matte white pottery, and metal accessories mix the old world and the new.
