Found in Italy, this circa 1850s tall painted cabinet is from the Bologna region. Top section has a pediment top, functional lock with original key, unpainted interior and two adjustable internal shelves. Doors have weathered metal lattice fronts. Two shallow functional drawers between upper and lower sections. Bottom section has a functional lock with original key and an open storage section with unpainted interior, bun feet at the front. Cabinet has an aged, pale cornflower blue painted finish with some darker blue trim. Unknown maker.
Very good overall antique condition - cabinet hardware and lattice fronts show rust/patina, painted wood finish shows overall fading and wear. Cabinet is structurally sound.
