Louis XVI Style Ebonised Desk With New Black Leather Top

Found in France, this circa 1920s Louis XVI style desk has an ebonised finish and new black leather writing surface. The desk is finished on both front and back sides and can float in a room. Locking drawers with dovetail construction, brass hardware and trim, pull out sides / shelves and tapered, reeded legs with brass capped feet. Unknown maker. Very good overall antique condition with minor scattered wear and patina.
