Set of 8 Mid Century Danish Rosewood Dining Chairs by Kurt Ostervig for Vamdrup Stolefabrik

Description

Circa late 1960s / early 1970s set of eight rosewood framed dining chairs designed by Kurt Ostervig for Vamdrup of Denmark. The company specialized in making dining chairs. Their full name is Vamdrup Stolefabrik ( chair manufacturer ) Featuring a generous seat and tall, buttoned backs with a sled-style base, these are a comfortable and supportive dining chair.

Although not labeled, this style is a known and well-documented design by this Danish company . Typically found in teak, the rosewood version is highly coveted. It’s rarer still to find a set of 8 with captain’s or carver chairs as most were sold in sets of 4 or 6 chairs.  We’ve had them professionally reupholstered in sage green chenille velvet. The frames are nice and tight with no problems or condition issues found.

Sold and priced as a set of eight.
