Vintage Hand Carved Ashanti Gye Nyame Stool from Ghana

This circa 1980s stool was hand carved into an Ashanti throne stool from a single piece of African sese wood by an Akan craftsman from Ghana. The base features the curvy Adinkran symbol of Gye Nyame to express God’s omnipotence. Sturdy and solid, this dark stained bench or stool shows scattered age- and use-related surface wear.
